Quote respone

“Literature adds to reality, it does not simply describe it. It enriches the necessary competencies that daily life requires and provides; and in this respect, it irrigates the deserts that our lives have already become.” - C. S. Lewis

I think that C. S. Lewis means that books and other works of literature are part of our lives. He means that they aren't just about someone, or something, else. He also means that literature make our lives more exciting and interesting.

This quote relates to my book because he is saying that books make our lives more interesting. Anne, a character in my book, feels the same way about nature. She loves nature and using her imagination. She tries to get others to see the beauty of nature and how it can make your life so much better and more interesting.
